It is a single calendar of author readings, book clubs, story times, and other public events at independent bookstores in the Pacific Northwest. Each listing is copied as the store published it and links back to the store's own event page. Nothing here is a paid or sponsored placement.
Each listing comes from a sweep of the stores' own published events pages. The date of the current pull is stated in the footer of this page and in the machine-readable feeds, so the age of the data is always visible. The intended cadence is a weekly re-sweep; the footer date, not the intention, is the record of when the data was actually pulled.
The store registry behind this calendar covers Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, and western Montana. Coverage of that registry is still partial: the current pull is weighted toward Puget Sound and the Interstate 5 corridor, and the footer states exactly how many stores the present data came from.
Not yet. Library author talks, book clubs, and story times are the next data source to be added. Feeds from several Pacific Northwest library systems have been tested and work, so library events are coming next rather than being ruled out.
Listings are read automatically from each store's own published events page, so the surest way to appear here is to keep that page current and public. A direct submission address is not open yet; when it is, it will be posted on this page.
